File Sharing CP problem
I'm having problems with the File Sharing Control Panel on both a B&W G3 and G4. I just installed OS 9 on both machines and they BOTH have the identical problem.

When I access the File Sharing CP it is VERY slow to open (45 seconds). Then, when opened, the Start/Stop tab is blank (!?). I mean completely empty. Very strange.

Also, the activity monitor tab is only partially complete.

Help!

Thanks in advance,
JP

Any other advice? Anyone?

Had the same problem.. after many hours of trial and error, tech forums, and a finally a tech person who knew what he was talking about I solved this problem.
The three things I did was 1. turned off the ShareWay IP extension. 2. Trash the AppleShare Prep in the preference folder. and 3. the most important I think trash the TCP/IP Preferences. ( I think you may just be able to trash the two Preferences. )
This solved the problem for me.

Yeah just trash the prefs, cause if you turn off ShareWay, then you can't use FileSharing unless you reinstall it.
