MISSING FONTS
This seems like a logical place to post this..
Installed OS9 on a beige G3. Now TIMES font is not appearing in Word, Photoshop, Pagemaker, etc.
TIMES suitcase DOES EXIST in the font folder.
Any one have a clue why?
This was not a clean install, but I'm thinking that may be the only way to fix it.

Is the Times suitcase inside another folder in the Fonts folder? Fonts must be loose in the Fonts folder in the System Folder.

Double-click and open the Times suitcase. What's inside? TrueType icons, Type 1 icons, or a mixture of both? (There should not be a mixture.)

You may also have a duplicate FOND ID with another font in the Fonts folder. I believe there are shareware (i.e., inexpensive) ways to check this, but I don't know of any off the top of my head. (I have FontReserve which does this for me.)

Post back and we'll keep trying to help you. http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/smile.gif

I removed the original font suitcase and copied the TIMES suitcase directly from the OS9 install disc.. so, no, there is nothing in there except what belongs.
As far as ID's.. I no not about that http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/frown.gif
I deleted any preference files I felt that I could get away with deleting and then restarted. Still no luck.
