os9 and pppoe
Hi all!
Does os 9 install pppoe connections by itself, or do I need additional software? (I need to use verizon dsl)
Thank you!

Hi Deca,
Unfortunately, OS9 doesn't have native support for PPPoE (unless you have an airport basestation or other broadband router, which supports PPPoE), you'll need third party software. I believe the verizon DSL software uses MacPoET (which use to be buggy, but might be improved since I last used it).
good luck!

I believe Verizon DSL provides MacPOET to you when you order there service. If not I was just on there Site They charge for it so it would be better to get it from Verizon when you get your DSL service because it comes with it
