Pump up the sound?
Dos anybody know how to make your system sound even louder when it's already at it's maximum?

whoo, someone from Belgium. Now there are two of us (that is if you stay here), are you from Flanders?
Umm now, answering your question...
I think you can't really pump up the system sound, what you can do is using a stereo.
If you want particular sounds to be louder, you can use come software like "sonixworks basic" and increase the volume of that sound (if it's a system sound, you'll need soundapp to turn it into AIFF).

Wow! How loud do you need it? I've been looking for a way to tone it down a bit.

Thanks.

Get yourself some computer speakers. For about $50 US, you can get a three piece sound system (subwoofer, satelites) that will totally rock, and yes, it will go louder than you can stand. Plug it into your Mac's earphone port and rock on. http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/smile.gif

Can you specify what speakers you're talking about?

i got some harman kardon HK595's (same make as the iStick/iSub)

they are a kind of beige version of the iSticks + iSub speakers... but with a larger sub!!!
they output 2x 10w + 40w
(the sub is something like 32cmx30cmx30cm.... its huge! almost as big as a small monitor!... and boy does it have some base freq power!!!!)

i got the setup for 30 here in the UK

the speakers just plug into the earphone output of the g4 .... viola! earbusing volumes

I have a setup with dual BA635's - 4 satellites, 2 subs, hooked up via a stereo splitter (couple dollars at Radioshack or Fry's) into my G4's headphone port.

They just completely rule, and are cheap too - I got two sets for less than the price of one set of SoundSticks, and even ONE set of mine sound better.
www.bostonacoustics.com - the BA635's.

I just hooked up my stereo (with speakers of 2 x 100W by pioneer) (using the headphones output at the side of my imac).
