IE 5.1 (osX) and Bookmarks from os9
Is there a way to export my bookmarks from IE 5 on os9.1 to use with IE 5.1 on os X.
I have a lot of bookmarks and typing them all in would be a real pain in the arse.
Thanks for any help.

yes. the file you're looking is called "favorites". I"m at work on my peecee so i can't tell you exactly where they are located.

use sherlock in OS9 and search for "favorites"

you'll notice there is one on your oS9 system ->preferences folder. copy that file to your osx desktop

now go into osx and search for "favorites" on your osx drive

copy over the favorites you see (there's a default_favorites in there, too).

fire up IE in OSX and you're set.

If you have problems then let us know and we'll hold your hand thru the process.

make an alias of your favorites.html file (in system folder/prefs/explorer folder) in your users/yourname/library/preferences/explorer/ folder. this way IE will use the same file, so any changes to your bookmarks in 9 will show up next time you use X.
