Problems with LaserWriter 8.7 driver
I've got a Wallstreet powerbook running
Mac OS 9.0.4 with Apple LaserWriter 8.7
software. I'm trying to talk to an HP
LaserJet IIIsi using an LPR configuration.
I'm having all kinds of problems with it.
Much of the time, whatever I queue for
printing appears briefly in the queue, then
disappears, with nothing coming out on the
printer. (In fact, the printer appears to
be completely unaware that anything was queued.)

In some applications, such as Netscape Communicator 4.7.2, merely accessing the
Page Setup window will crash the system.

The AdobePS 8.7 driver doesn't seem to do any
better here.

This stuff used to work with Apple Laserwriter
8.6. Do I need to go back to that, or is there
some configuration setting I need to modify
to make this work?

Do you have the IIIsi PPD installed? How is the IIIsi connected to your network? Does it work with appletalk and not the other way?
