new iMac and OS 9?
Hi,
I just got my new iMac DV Special Edition. As you already know, it comes with OS 8.6. I heard from somewhere that Apple would replace the OS 8.6 with OS 9 for the new iMacs. Is this true?. If so, how do I go about doing that?. I couldn't find any form in the package to submit to Apple to request the update. BTW, I love this DV SE. It is beautiful. I ddin't have any problems with the DVD at all.

search MacNN for the info you need on the MacOS Up to Date program...
also check Apple.com

The Mc OS Up To Date program is best for you. If you don't feel like going through all the trouble of that then you can purchase Mac OS 9 starting October 23rd for $99. The upgrade will work on the new iMacs just fine.
