Installing multiple OS`s
Hi

Can OS9.0.4. and OS9.1 "reside" on the same machine? If so, do they need to be placed on different partions?

Thanks.
Tom

Yes, you can have 9.0.4 and 9.1 on the same machine, and even on the same partition without any problem.

Just rename the System Folders accordingly - the Mac OS doesn't care what they're called.

HI, Cipher13.

You mean like....System folder OSX, System folder OS9.1 etc, so that i can tell which is which when booting?

Thanks.

Sorta - don't change the names of any OSX things. The names are vital to how OSX works.

But with OS9, if you have two OS9 System Folders (such as in the example given above), there is no problem with renaming one "System Folder 9.04" and the other "System Folder 9.1", or "9.04" and "9.1" - whatever you like.

Put them wherever you like also - the Mac OS filing structure is the most versatile in existence - do not try to do the same things you can do with it, as in OSX - that'll just make a mess ;)
