smtp.mac.com (authentication?)

hey i use musashi for my mail needs.... i use a subdimension.com pop server (www.subdimension.com to get one for free) but i want to use smtp.mac.com for my outgoing except when i put it as my smtp server in preferences and send a message i get an error back that says try authenticating... except there seems to be no name/pass fields for smtp in musashi? does anyone out there use musashi that can check this out for me? any help is very appreciated... thanks

I believe musashi uses the pop user name and password you just have to check use SMTP Server authentication. Although I haven't used it in a year and could be wrong.

i do'nt know about the program you are using but in Outlook which I use there is an advanced user setting button under where you put the smtp. in the dialog box that pops up there is a place to put your itools username and password which you need to send

i just realized this is probably no help to you and i'm sorry
