processor from 9600 in 8500?
A friend upgraded his 9600/350 to a G4, and said I coul have his old processor. Can my 8500/120 handle the 350 processor card? Is there anything special I would have to do? This would be a good, money-saving temporary upgrade if my machine will take it.

You're out of luck. The 9600/350 use a different motherboard with no L2 cache slot and some other changes in the support chips. The processor cards cannot be used in systems with the 1st generation boards. 250-350 Cards will only work in Kansas based boards.
