Sonnet Crescendo G3-400 L2 died
Well, my new Sonnet processor croaked. It worked perfect for a week. I had been using the computer(temp was a constant 35c) shut it down to get a bite, came back and hit the power...nada. After removing the Sonnet it will boot fine from the original processor. Took the Sonnet and installed it in my other system. Same thing, wouldn't boot with it in. Really sucks as the performance was great. Luckily OWC is a great company and is sending me a replacement.

Has anyone else had this sort of issue with Sonnet L2 processors? Did I just get a bad one or are they generally weak and very succeptable to problems?

PowerMac 5500
250mhz(upgraded to Sonnet G3-400)
128mb RAM
30gb Hard Drive
Keyspan PCI USB
Apple Video System w/TV tuner

Have had one for well over a year. Performed beautifully since day one. This is why there are warranties, some items fail. Return it.

Glad to hear someone has had good luck with them.....Because it ran great when it was working. Can't wait to get my replacement.
