Is there any way I can use my IDE hard drive in older systems such as the 8600 which apparently only support SCSI?

If you have a spare PCI slot, I believe you can buy a PCI IDE card for about $100.

VST, Sonnet, ProMax and some others make such PCI ATA cards.
