memorytogo.com

i've purchased all my powerbook memory from there without a hitch.

for my 9500/200, they're selling 128MB chips for $108

does anyone have other suggestions for getting ram for our beiges?

wherever you get it, buy pc133 so you can use it in the g4s if you get one. :)

Check out the site below for finding the lowest prices on all types of Mac RAM. I have ordered from several of the vendors on the list and have not received a faulty module yet. It is best to check if the vendor offers a lifetime warranty on their RAM.

Other World computing is selling pc100 256mb Dimms for $40 each. If you own a G3, you could get 786mb for $120--roughly $0.15 per MB. That oughta stave off the G4 desire for a few months....

Greetings,
Careful here, two things are happening. The original poster said "beige powermacs" and many people replied with info about PC100-133 RAM. PC66-133 RAM is SDRAM and cannot be used in pre-G3 systems. These later non-G3 Mac models (such as the 9500/200 mentioned) use non-SDRAM. even though it is for older models, it is higher priced than a SDRAM DIMM of equavalent density. The two types are not compatable! I believe the original poster wants to know of someplace to get it cheaper.
