Keeping up with the Joneses....
..........the software forum has got a well handy stickied thread full of usefull tools, which I wouldn't have realised existed if I hadn't for the first time in many years popped there over to ask a question......

url

.......anyone agree that a similar collection pertaining solely to web developement would be an asset to this forum?

i'm in. especially if we can have things like "how do i get that little picture in Safari's address bar?" sticked, and other such recurring topics.

then again, this is also a recurring topic. maybe we can have this one stuck too ;)

Here's one for the cms fans, htmlarea

Turns any textarea into a word document type editable text field.

Add a database and whammo, you have instant content management. Version 3 and Mozilla needed to run it on a Mac, as it exploits built in features of the browser it's running on.
