Mini Can't connect to WPA2-Personal
I've got a Mac Mini (the first gen thin ones with server built-in) with built-in wireless card:
Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x93)
Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (
MAC Address: ...
Country Code: US
Supported PHY Modes: 802.11 a/b/g/n

Router is running both 2.4ghz WEP and 5ghzN WPA2-Personal. Works on 2.4, fails on 5ghz WPA2. I keep getting a timeout error. My MBP connects to it fine. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this on the mac side? The router is working fine for the laptop, appletv, etc on 5ghz WPA2. The mini's wireless card itself is good, or at least does work at the 2.4ghz spectrum with WEP. Dunno where else to look after trying to change passwords and protocols.

First thing I'd do is make sure that both router and mini are updated with the latest version of the drivers and firmware, respectively.

yeah, did that on both. With the MBP and ATV both working WPA, I'm pretty focused on the mini at this point.

Does the mini work on 5 GHz if you drop to WEP?

No, but setting the control channel on the router to 40 (Default Auto, and 36 failed) and the bandwidth to 20 (was auto) made it work.
