Apple institutes $50 price drop on Mac mini refurbs
Apple has dropped the cost of refurbished Mac minis at its <a href="http://macnn.com/store/">online store</a> by another $50. A 2011 Mini now starts at $469; that includes a 2.3GHz dual-core Core i5 processor and 2GB of RAM. Upgrading to a 2.5GHz chip and 4GB of RAM costs $549, while a 2GHz quad-core Core i7 system loaded with Lion Server is $759.<br><br>The Mini is Apple's cheapest Mac. 2012 models start at $599, which gives buyers a 2.5GHz dual-core Core i5 chip and 4GB of RAM. The most expensive non-customized model is the $999 Server, which has a 2.3GHz quad-core Core i7 chip, 4GB of RAM, two 1TB hard drives and a copy of Mountain Lion with OS X Server pre-installed.
