Lincoln Park Apple Store deals with aftermath of car crash
A car crashed into the Lincoln Park Apple Store in Chicago on Sunday night, according to reports. Local police tell the Chicago Tribune that they're investigating the incident, in which an elderly man drove his Lincoln Town Car through the glass facade of the store. Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene. Although people initially refused any care, paramedics were eventually called back and took one injured person to hospital in good condition. No serious injuries have been reported.

Witnesses say that the driver made it about four or five feet into the store before turning and coming to a stop near an accessories shelf. Photos reveal that the crash sprayed glass shards over a good deal of the store, also knocking aside chairs and a MacBook display table.
In spite of the crash, an Apple specialist informs MacNN that the store remains open for business today. The only change is that the south side has been blocked off, forcing people to enter and exit through the north. |
Towncars should be banned. Especially the black ones, they look scary. They are much bigger than people need... There's no reason that anybody would need anything bigger than a honda civic. Where's the government to protect those shoppers and businesses? If we banned all cars, stuff like this would never happen....
