Briefly: WWDC app, ShaggyMax, The Grablet, Booq Fibre iPhone cases
With just days to go until the opening of the 2013 Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on Monday, Apple has pushed an update to the companion WWDC iOS app (free). While the program is aimed at attendees and registered Apple developers, others can also use the app by tapping "cancel" when prompted to sign in. The new version now handles video properly (resuming after a phone call, ignoring audio ringer mute when playing a video), corrects blurry text in session details, allows Favorites in Events to go to 11PM, prevents duplicate section headers in the videos list from appearing and stops the navigation bar in Events from sometimes disappearing. The app is now at version 1.0.1 and available from the App Store.

ShaggyMac celebrates decade with name change to ShaggyMax
Accessory dealer ShaggyMac, which opened its doors ten years ago with a line of niche accessories for Macs, is altering its name slightly in order to reach beyond just the Mac and iOS market. The company will now be called ShaggyMax, and include accessories for Macs and PCs, iOS and Android and photo/optical products. The company says it has some new products in the pipeline, most made in the USA. Grablet expands lineup with Nomad, Executive models

The Grablet, a backing case for the original iPad and later models that featured straps to enable one-handed use, has expanded with two new models, both offering increased functionality and protection for iPad owners. The new Grablet Nomad ($40) now features a customer-requested integrated front screen protector as well. A new Executive model ($60) features a premium leather cover that retains all the functionality of the original Grablet, but adds a sophisticated, professional look. Both product also give the Grablet a stand that functions at various angles, and are compatible with the second through current generation iPads. The three models -- including Grablets for the original iPad -- are available from the company's online store.
Booq unveils Fibre Collection cases for iPhone 5

Bag, backpack and case accessory maker Booq has taken inspiration from the company's own natural-fiber iPad cases and Mamba line and brought the genuine fiber fabric feel to a line of durable polycarbonate snapcases for the iPhone 5. Combining the ruggedness of a hard snapcase with the grippy, soft feel of fabric, the case protects the iPhone from impact while giving it a warm look and soft touch in a thin case that avoids a bulky look. The cases, a first for the company, will sell for $30 and come in a choice of four colors: black, gray, purple or sand. The cases are now available either directly from Booq or through various retailers around the US.
