Briefly: Plants vs Zombies 2, Yahoo Mail for iOS, discounted Epsons
Electronic Arts' PopCap division has made the hotly-awaited game Plants vs Zombies 2 available in Australia and New Zealand in a sort of "soft launch" of the game to "test out all of the new systems and features" that take advantage of new technologies, "to make sure we are ready for our worldwide audience to play." The game is free-to-play but relies on some in-app purchases (IAPs). The company says that game functionality and pricing are among the elements being tested.

The new game features new characters and plants, new power-ups and plant food, new levels and zombie chickens. It requires iOS 5.1 or later, and runs on the iPad 2 or later and the iPhone 4 or later.
Yahoo adds multi-account support, switchable inboxes to iOS app

Yahoo on Tuesday updated its email app for iOS devices to support multiple accounts being logged in at the same time, allowing users to switch between inboxes without logging out and logging back in under each set of credentials. The new version also adds support for Business Mail accounts for those with Yahoo Small Business logins in the free app, and brings push notifications, Yahoo contacts and photo attachments to those accounts. The v1.5.5 update also features the usual bug fixes and stability enhancements, and requires iOS 6.0 or later (and runs on the iPhone 3GS or later as well as all iPad models).
Apple Store also discounting Epson printers with instant rebate

In addition to a sale on selected HP printers that offers a $50 instant rebate, Apple is now offering a similar sale on select Epson models. The promotion, which runs through to September 6, reduces the price of all sale Epson models by $20 at checkout. The two offers have marked a return to what was once a staple of summer discounting at US Apple stores, but was discontinued in 2012 as buyers shifted away from printing generally and began buying more mobile devices like iPhones and iPads that rely more heavily on cloud storage, again reducing the need to print as often.
