Apple credits Ibrahim Balic, others for exposing Dev Center issues
Apple's Web Server notifications page has been updated to credit security researcher Ibrahim Balic -- and several other firms and researchers -- for exposing security flaws in its Developer Center. The site suffered major downtime in July, something Apple acknowledged was related to a hacking attempt. Balic claimed to be behind the attack, the details of which he says he reported to Apple. Until now however the company has never acknowledged the link.

Core Developer Center functions went down for a week after the attack. Some others remained offline, however, and the Center was only fully restored on August 10th. During the outages, Apple worked on rebuilding and updating infrastructure to make it more secure.
