Beatles make late arrival on iTunes Radio
Albums by The Beatles have finally reached iTunes Radio, reports observe. Although the band's catalog has been available for years on the iTunes Store, and iTunes Radio has been active in pre-release form since June, the Beatles were conspicuously absent from Radio until this weekend. Access to the Beatles catalog could be an Apple advantage over some rival streaming services, like Spotify.
The late addition of the Beatles suggests that Apple may still be working on Radio content deals. Labels and publishers typically consider streaming a separate issue from download sales, since streaming involves collecting a share of ad or subscription revenue based on the quantity of plays. At the same time, streaming services need to lock up as many artists as possible, since a small selection will easily drive listeners away.
iTunes Radio should go wide on or around September 18th, alongside iOS 7. Though it will initially be limited to the US, it should reach more regions over time.

"late arrival" - late? On a service that hasn't even been launched to the public (excl. devs) yet? You funny, MacNN.
