Forums: new Intel chips pose a security threat and more
Today in the <em>MacNN</em> forums, Junior Member "Ron K" shared some information about the new Intel chips and how they <a href="http://forums.macnn.com/69/mac-notebooks/504237/new-intel-chips-contain-back-door/">may be hackable</a> even if the computer is turned off. Forum members continue to discuss rumors surrounding the release of <a href="http://forums.macnn.com/65/mac-desktops/502296/haswell-imacs-when/">Haswell powered iMacs</a>.
<br><br /><br />A frustrated "Fresh-Faced Recruit" turned to the forums looking for a reason why Safari reloads every time they <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/294685==http://forums.macnn.com/90/mac-os-x/504243/safari-reloads-every-back-arrow-why/" rel='nofollow'>"back-arrow"</a> to a previous page. One Junior Member took to the forums after installing <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/294686==http://forums.macnn.com/103/iphone-ipad-and-ipod/504240/ios-7-iphone-5-pop-up/" rel='nofollow'>iOS 7 on their iPhone 5</a> and having an annoying pop up window that says "Connect to iTunes to Use Push Notifications." Junior Member "holderlin" has been having trouble with <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/294687==http://forums.macnn.com/82/applications/504236/vlc-opengl-not-supported/" rel='nofollow'>OpenGL support in VLC</a> and they turned to the forums for some advice. <br />

The new Intel CPUs do not pose a security threat. vPro has been around since the Core2Duo era, and it's used by system administrators, not the government.
