<strong>iRig BlueBoard: first wireless MIDI pedalboard for iOS and OS X</strong> <br />
<br />
IK Multimedia has launched its latest music-creation accessory, the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/296079==http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigblueboard/" rel='nofollow'>iRig BlueBoard</a>. A wireless MIDI pedalboard for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Mac, the device provides musicians with hands-free control of mobile and Mac music apps. The device is small enough to be transported in a backpack, and setup requires turning on the power, launching its companion app and assigning the backlit pads to the desired control function. Its Bluetooth function transmits the pedalboard's actions (with a range of over 32 feet) to the connected mobile device or Mac, so users can then use the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/296080==http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigblueboardapp/" rel='nofollow'>iRig BlueBoard app</a> and software to convert the signal into MIDI messages. <br />
<br />
The iRig BlueBoard is compatible with any music app or Mac music-software that is MIDI-compatible, and can be controlled wirelessly. Battery powered with four standard AAA batteries (included), the iRig BlueBoard is priced at $100 and is available for purchase from the IK online store and at electronic retailers.

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my BlueBoard (pre-ordered a couple months ago). IK makes great hardware and software.
