Briefly: AccuWeather updates, Thunderbolt 2-to-PCIe expansion chassis
Weather prediction and reporting <a href="" rel='nofollow'>app</a> AccuWeather has launched its new MinuteCast feature. Now available for its web version as well as its iOS 7-optimized app for iPhone and iPod touch, MinuteCast gives users a continually updated forecast, ideal for making decisions based on weather. <strong>Sonnet announces quiet and compact Thunderbolt 2-to-PCIe expansion chassis</strong><br />
<br />
Sonnet today announced the <a href="" rel='nofollow'>Echo Express SEL</a>, its latest addition to its Echo Express Line of Thunderbolt 2-to-PCIe expansion systems. Enabling the use of a wide variety of high-performance PCIe cards with any Mac computer that has a Thunderbolt port, users can utilize cards which were originally designed for use in PC or Mac desktops. Its Thunderbolt 2 technology delivers twice the bandwidth of first-generation Thunderbolt, and provides sufficient throughput to support many high-performing and demanding PCIe cards. The Echo Express SEL is ideally suited for use with high-bandwidth networking cards, host bus adapters, and storage interface cards, allowing connection with Thunderbolt-enabled iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro computers, as well as Mac Pro computers that lack PCIe expansion slots.<br />

Accommodating low-profile, single-width PCIe 2.0 x8 cards, the Echo Express SEL's dual Thunderbolt 2 ports support full-bandwidth connectivity with 20GB per second Thunderbolt 2-equipped host computers, as well as provide full backwards compatibility with 10GB per second Thunderbolt-equipped computers and devices, and also support 'daisy-chaining' of other Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt devices. Measuring four inches wide by 8.4 inches long by 2.8 inches tall, the Echo Express SEL weighs 1.75 pounds and is encased in aluminum. Shipping with an 80W external power adapter, the Echo Express SEL is priced at $400 and is available for purchase through Sonnet online.

Comment: Weather forecasts have absolutely terrible accuracy and there are some local super fascist ****s who let their students die on the roads in 2 feet of snow and not close classes.

So, maybe this app could be expanded to include cancelation notices (e.g. "XYZ is closed due to snow, announced 35 minutes ago").
