Installing 10.8 with Shared account on separate disk
Hi, I think I have to bite the bullet and install 10.8 after having resisted for some time. I want to make a clean install on this setup:

My OS, applications and admin account are on an SSD and the working non-admin accounts as well as the Shared account are on a separate RAID0 in my MacPro.

Now I am wondering how can I make the new OS 10.8 recognize the Shared account on the separate HDD as it does not show up in the accounts list?

Any advice is appreciated.

Can you explain the configuration of your Mac?

Thanks, CarenTec. In the meantime I installed 10.8.2 over the previous 10.6.8, i.e. not as a clean install. Trying a clean install gave me a lot of problems because my user account for working is on a RAID0 separate from the SSD where the OS is located. The OS didn't want to accept my existing user folder...
