Wall Street Journal Article on OSX
From WSJ, Thursday March 22,2001 page B6 "Apple Banks on OSX To Restore Its Image As Software Innovator" Pui-Wing Tam wrote ... " ... Kevin Brown, general manager of the Macintosh Business Unit at Micro$oft, says Apple has been closely supporting Micro$oft's efforts to develop OS X versions of Office Software, AT TIMES TWEAKING THE OPERATING SYSTEM TO ACCOMODATE MICRO$OFT'S NEEDS ... " huh? http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/confused.gif I understand the marketing importance of having a robust version of mac:OFFICE but I hope it doesn't compromise the OpSys in any way. Overall it was a positive article on Apple's new OS though slow performance on older Macs was mentioned. Has anyone heard of this 'Tweaking', or is it just PR? |
