So they took a prop head of GWB, gave it a completely different hair and turned it away so the only part of the face you can see is the lips and the set of the jaw. Noone noticed for more than a year. Noone would EVER have noticed if they hadn't mentioned it. If it truly was a politically motivated plant, I'd say it failed miserably.

As you say, it would have remained private, and that would have been fine. I've said and done disgusting (yet hilarious) things I'd rather not share with strangers, if anything, just as a courtesy.

Once you start charging money for your discussion of it, you lose the expectation of privacy.

They are dumb for talking about it. Assuming it was an inside joke with the cast and crew, they shouldn't have revealed it. And if they really were jonesing to have someone discover it, someone should have anonymously tipped off some blog to it and waited for it spread through the internet until they were approached for apologetic comment.

Don't forget the majority of the cast and crew are probably from Ireland and the rest of the UK where its filmed. Its also a bit late to be lampooning GWB. Maybe if he'd still been in office....

As far as I'm concerned, GoT is so awesome they can do whatever the hell they want anyway, I'll forgive them.

There actually was one today over this story. I don't really think there's a story here, honestly. Even if the production crew purposely chose a Bush head, does anyone really care?

If they'd walked into Bob's House of Latex Heads and there was a Clinton one readily available, I'm sure they'd have used it too.

And that would have been equally classy.
