One thing I must say about Expose is that it's infinitely more useful if you are using a 4- or 5- button mouse. It makes navigating through windows a breeze, especially coming from Windows XP =).

I was also thinking, if I keep the lid closed instead of open just a bit, I'll be saving life on the LCD as well. And my fan runs very quietly in clamshell mode.

I have noticed the same problem with my trackpad, but only when my hands are wet (clammy). Also I have noticed that when the PB has just woken from sleep, the pointer sort of 'jitters' around a bit....
