IBM makes better server drives. WD desktop drives are just as good or better than IBM desktop drives. Says nothing about reliability. WD just doesnt make server-class drives cuz its not their market.

The G4 has MPX bus and you can say theres no maximum frequency either... I could have a 1GHz...

The 75GXP is not ****in DISCONTINUED as it SHOULD BE... look at IBM's site.

The newer WDs... Caviar 7200 rpm up...

Why? both buses have the same bandwidth and the DDR can runs on the same clock that controls the memory bus without extra multipliers. DDR also probably can handle longer traces = less layers on...
