Problem is if hotmail is telling safari the file is 'text/html' or 'text/plain' then safari is correct in displaying what it is send. The internet does not work using file extensions, but MIME types....

You could embed a very simple Java Applet that relies on Java 1.2, then examine the system properties of the Java VM to detect the host platform.

That would be very hard to forge.

I've had great success doing JSP development on OS X, using the Tomcat webserver.

Tomcat 5 comes with excellent ant scripts - I can change Java Classes, JSP pages etc, build with ant and see them...

I got three of the LOTR swords last year (witch king, Glamdring and Sting). They are excellent - much better quality than most replica swords. I recommend Sting and the Witch King sword particularly....
