I'd assume that it is about the same level of difficulty as previous aluminum PowerBook generations have been, which is usually pretty straightforward, maybe 30-40 screws and you're in and out.

Sorry to hear that dude, the same thing happened to me with a 1.67GHz 15-inch Dual-Layer, I simply returned it and will probably buy the Rev B MacBook Pro. At least you have the 2.5GHz Quad to hold...

It is just the "build number" and the only reason it is different than the other computer's "10.4.5" system is because this is the Intel version of Mac OS X, otherwise it would be identical.

Yeah, I expect that it would work just as the PowerBook hinge worked, although they did squeeze the Airport Antenna into the hinge which could have modified the design of it a bit. I am just uneasy...
