u may want to try a different mic,perhaps a condensor mic that runs on a battery. its possible that pb's mic amp isn't powerful enough to drive your microphone.

hey sheer, my setup will look quite similar to yours when i receive my pb 12" within a couple of weeks. I have a 19" black LCD but with a different midi keyboard. Nice and simple, sweet as.:)
