Well I did a system restore with a 10.4 install dvd (my friend was kind enough to let me borrow hers). And it is still doing the same thing. It gets to the launch mac os x and the blue bar fills...

Hottest I have ever had it was at 66C (playing lots of unreal tournment that day).
