Thanks, Tsilou, I'll check that out. Cocoa and X -might- be enough, depending on what's Carbon and what isn't. =)

For instance, Terminal.app? Carbon or no?

I did a search here and on the web, but didn't really find anything useful. =)

I just tried an NEC 1300A and it is not supported for burning on 10.3.1 (PB FW800).

I'm going to get a Pioneer A06, but I've heard the Sony 500 and the LaCie drives work well, too.

Sounds to me like to GuyKuo, his PB is a -tool-, not decoration. If his solution works for him, it works for him.

AT&T Wireless has a $150 instant rebate on the SE T616; making your price $49, if you buy from the website. Pretty reasonable for such a slick phone - I use it with my 15" and it works flawlessly.

I have a perfect BTO as well.

I don't think it'll help one way or another, though. The white spots people are reporting can apparently appear later, too; so factory testing may not help you there.

Or offer a variety of anodized colors... Pure (silver), Smoke (medium grey), Charcoal (black), etc.

Still professional looking, but more unique.
