I'm happy with Netflix. The main reason I got them is because Blockbuster (physical stores) never had any of the DVDs I want. And of course it's a lot cheaper than renting from the store constantly....

It's just a partition. People do it all the time. It's like having two hard drives. As long as you don't re-partition the drive (something you would have to explicitly do), you're fine.
