The first time I tried the program I was running 10.3.7. After I updated to 10.3.8 the only temp I saw fluctuate was the HD and I suspect that was because of the SMART technology.

I also noticed that I could slightly change the brightness level to prevent the flickering but I didn't like the amount of screen dimming in a darkened room so turning off the automatic setting fixed...

Mine did that once or twice then I went into System Preferences/Displays and turned off the Automatically Adjust Brightness as Ambient Light Changes and it hasn't happened since.
