Have anybody tried using ShhMBP on their MacBook non-pro? (it says its supposed to be used on MacBook Pro's) - but it should be the same fix (disabling the idle-cpu state that causes the whine)

My old iBookG4 had exactly the same markings - though they developed 2 months later, not weeks later.

However, a simple (pencil) rubber did it ;)

Yeah, this is crazy. I never thought Apple would be so stupid. This is extremely sad and ruins a perfect argument for choosing OS X over Windows.

But what's up with the disk:// thing? I don't see...
