That analogy is completely invalid. Titanium racquets are not against the rules of tennis. Map hack is against the rules of Diablo 2, both in terms of the rules of the game and the legal contract you...

I really have to second the notion of a hardware router, especially since, at least according to your sig, you already have one - in fact, you appear to have several: Your Airport base stations. The...

Re: workgroup server 7520/120 10,602 Views / 4 Replies
There is no such thing as a Workgroup Server 7520. I assume this was just a typing transposition and you meant a Workgroup Server 7250/120.

I'm also not sure if you mean your PC is the only device...

If he's running Mac OS X 10.3.x on his G4, he might not be able to use Disk Utility to install the Mac OS 9 drivers to the hard drive because Disk Utility no longer does so in some cases. Apple...

Adding RAM will make a huge difference. I talk about it in my other reply to you here:

Re: Slow internet in 9? 10,903 Views / 6 Replies
Mac OS 9 on a 120mhz PPC601 processor with 32mb of RAM is going to be slow. Weird as it sounds, you'd be better off with Mac OS 8.6 and, if you can live without some of the 8.6 functions, it will run...

Re: Games for a 600MHz iMac 1,433 Views / 23 Replies
Lots of good suggestions here. I'll add Myth/Myth II to the list. Go to http://www.playmyth.net and you can download Mac OS X ports of both games, and can even download the entire Myth solo campaign...

So you play Hardcore, the entire point of which is to increase the difficulty, but you want to use a cheat? "I want to see if there's [sic] monsters where I'm teleporting." In other words, you want...

Diablo 2

Mac OS 9 vs Mac OS X
The game plays much better in Mac OS 9. (Note that this refers to a Mac OS 9 BOOT, not Classic emulation running under a Mac OS X boot.) That said, the game plays...

You don't say how what version of the Mac OS you have on the old machine. If you have ClarisWorks/AppleWorks, you should be able to do a save-as operation on each of your ClarisWorks 4.0 files and...

MacMatt-

The newer Mac models do not include the ROMs necessary to boot into Mac OS 9. A Mac which does have the required ROMs and has a properly formatted hard drive and a properly configured...

Re: cant boot from disk 443 Views / 2 Replies
It's possible that the iMac is a more recent vintage than your copy of DiskWarrior. You might be able to get a new DiskWarrior boot CD from the publisher for a nominal cost which will work with that...
