I'm playing Guild Wars - Nightfall on my Macbook 2.0 (1Gb RAM, 80Gb HD) and it runs perfectly fine. It takes a a minute or so to render the other characters when you enter your world but then it's ok.

You can, I believe, charge it via firewire if you have the correct cable but you won't be able to access your music etc.. with the a firewire cable. You need the USB cable for that.
