Well my problem was that the leopard disc would spin and then just eject itself... but that sounds like it would work with the snow leopard disc because that is what was happening with that... but......

hmmm i think the case idea is the most logically (and hope provoking), i can't use disc utility to look to see if anything is wrong because the HDD isn't even showing up on Disc Utility.
