Why not RDC from the Mac? I have the MS version of RDC and it's great because it allows for mapping of drives, sound, and printers over the connection just like remoting in from a PC.

They're pretty nice. I like the long cord they come with so I can leave the iPod on my desk at work and move around a bit without getting yanked on by my headphone cord.
