The problem dealt with the computer being hooked up to a VoIP LAN...

Definitely put your money into a nice big monitor and go to town. You get 2 monitors for monitor spanning use and the nice little package instead of a huge ol' desktop. I wouldn't do it any other...

Most definitely. After I have had an ibook and the option for monitor spanning, I would not go back to a desktop. I think with the newer laptops, it is almost better! The cost is the only limiting...
