Yes. I tried again and it seems slightly better -- smoothed fonts don't look quite so thin anymore -- but I don't know yet whether it's really better.

I thought about that as well. But the difference seems rather small, even when I place the displays side-by-side.

For now, I will experiment with different color...

It's hard to say, since a process might run but not hit the hard drive. I tried using fs_usage, but that didn't turn up anything interesting...

It looks like even the CD player uses this special filesystem, which would explain why it skips so much. A weird side effect is that you can read other parts of the CD even while the CD is playing....

That worked, thanks. Terminal also doesn't seem to want to create new services (and removing them sometimes crashes it). It should be great once the bugs are gone...reminiscent of Acme/Wily.
