Well thanks for the answers... but I will just have to wait for 10.4.1 to see if it fixes my problem... because no new or edited files show up in Spotlight results...

Spotlight works great but I shouldn´t have to run a Terminal command to get it to index new files...

It´s not like I haven´t waited for Spotlight to index new files... but it shouldn´t take 2 days...
