Unsanity's Application Enhancer and "haxies"--as they are called by the company itself--are the culprits. Users shouldn't really blame Apple when they install these...

I am the happy owner of a MacBook Pro 1.83 GHz with 2 GB RAM and a CTO 7200 RPM hard drive.

It is the best computer I've ever owned. I would honestly not trade it in for anything else....
