The "Halo Preferences" file in ~/Library/Preferences/ contains the CD-Key info (not plaintext), so if you already installed/used a valid CD key, just copy that preferences file to the same location...

I also use HorseMenu to bump the priority to -20 (highest) If needed. I am not sure it if matters, as VPC has a setting for CPU usage as well.
