It seems like every website I go to (MWAVE, NEWEGG, TIGERDIRECT, COMPUSA, BEST BUY, and CIRCUIT CITY) carry firewire...

firewire isn't necessarily faster, it all depends on what you're moving on that wire, if it's a bunch of small files than usb 2.0 would actually be faster and it also transfers at speeds of up to 480...

I've noticed that too! However, mine only cuts out when im running on battery. When connected to wall it stays connected (and it has nothing to do with distance from the router, I get great signal...
