Since 2 weeks my system logs (in /private/var/log) are getting huge.

The first one to get huge system.log.0 is 1.93GB!!! The curent one system.log is already 244.5MB!

I am curently using LinuxPPC to write mathematical programms. I use the Gnu compilers gcc and mainly g77 as i use mainly Fortran. Any chance of using them in OS X with XonX?
