double check for compatibility and format before buying. I don't think the iMac has usb 2.0. I looked at the iomega (http://www.iomega.com) web site and their desktop drives were formatted for pc....

I have the 15" G4 iMac 800mhz superdrive w/512mb RAM and 10.2. Not sluggish at all. Others I know have upgraded to 768M ram and that might be the best depending on what you do. The Ramjet ad on this...
