IMO, I wouldn't put the cash into the EFiX, you can do quite nearly the same thing in software.

In my experience, VGA sucks for a digital monitor. Always opt for DVI/HDMI is possible.

Have you tried it with only one ram riser?

Also, make sure any add in cards you have (video etc...) are seated properly. The ram too.
